Meet the Founders
Hello & Welcome
Greetings & Salutations,
The story journey of Coronet Blockchain cannot be told without sharing our deep gratitude with our friends and associates across the world. Building Coronet took over 60 experts positioned across the salon industry, JSE-listed retail experts, Technology Practitioners, Consulting, Finance, Legal, Academia, Government and more, stationed across 10 countries. Each working faithfully to help achieve the heavy-lifting to produce Coronet and achieve The Africa we want. We are eternally indebted to them and the next generation to pay it forward. We raised 2 funding tranches during COVID hard lockdown. In the middle of the perfect storm: we were innovating. Our unwavering commitment is using Blockchain for social good in all we do. E.g. Enabling salons to secure trade finance, protecting stylists' jobs, removing counterfeits from the hair trade & more.
Here's to the Africa we want, here's to legacy!
Much Gratitude,
S&P

Hello I'm Shadrack
I am a born diplomat: born at the intercession of 3 provinces [states] that historically functioned like stand alone countries. This setting favourably exposed to multiple races and cultures from a young age. My experiences in business date back to my early age of 11 when my mom started multiple businesses, asking me to manage and grow them.
Later on, in corporate: my last role was with Deloitte, before co-founding Coronet. Among the highlights of my corporate track-record includes spearheading business development teams that moved a new venture from a zero-balance-sheet position to ZAR 5 billion within 3 years. A move that required a competitor in that space 13 years to achieve.
For me Blockchain is more about people & communities more than it is about technology, the tech functions simply enable the attainment of shared community values. I am for communities. I am for Africa. Perhaps that is why some people prefer to call me the Blockchain Baron of Africa.

Hello I'm Pretty
My business experiences date back to my days in the village, where from the age of 6 I worked in my family's business. My father owned a car repair workshop and wood cutting businesses. Prior to co-founding Coronet Blockchain in 2019, I worked within management consulting, specialising in access to new markets.
Key highlights include scaling a new business from 500 USD to 2 million USD within 36 months. We then received two funding tranches from a US multinational, to build Coronet, a tailored blockchain enabled supply chain solution to disrupt Africa’s supply chains.
Our vision leading to 2030: covers the top 3 BFFs: Beauty, Fashion and Food, supply chains. Leveraging tech, for social good across 9 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Amongst my highlights was spearheading the development of a ZAR 29 billion social impact investment framework (an SLP) to create a blue-print social benefit system that was adapted by the government to be used as a national accountability framework for the sector.
